PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program

Legacy’s PGY2 specialty residency is a one-year experience focused on ambulatory care. Two annual PGY2 positions are available. Legacy has over 100 ambulatory clinics with clinical pharmacists embedded in 14 of these clinics.

In this experience, residents will have the opportunity to train under board certified ambulatory care pharmacists using collaborative drug therapy management agreements for a variety of disease states including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart failure, depression, and smoking cessation.

In addition, residents will complete an inpatient transitions of care rotation, an inpatient and outpatient based transplant rotation, and a longitudinal internal medicine staffing rotation.

The residents will have opportunities to precept pharmacy students and PGY1 residents, as well as provide presentations to multidisciplinary audiences. Additional expectations include a research project focusing on the establishment, expansion or evaluation of an ambulatory care service.

Applications are accepted via the online PhORCAS system and are due by Dec. 30 each year.
