Sam (Susan) Cook, MSN, CNM, has a B.A. from the University of Michigan in Linguistics, a Master of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University, and a Midwifery certificate from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. She’s been a geriatric caregiver, bartender, manager of a wholesale plant nursery, laboratory assistant, a registered nurse, and more—but her favorite role has been that of a midwife, serving women and their families. Sam tries to listen to each woman she sees with her whole heart, so that she can give her what she needs, both emotionally and physically. It has been her pleasure and honor to serve her clients in this way since 1986. Sam has three beloved adult children. She enjoys traveling, hiking, yoga, reading, movies, walking her dog Rosie, and competitive trivia.
