A board certified specialist in Orthopedics, Dr. Sauer is a Orthopedic Surgeon at Legacy Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Sauer earned a bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed a general surgery internship at St. Luke’s Hospital and a residency in orthopedic surgery at MetroHealth St. Luke’s Medical Center also in Cleveland. Dr. Sauer has other clinical experience providing orthopedic care at Essentia Health in Ashland, Wisconsin, Mayo Clinic Health System and Allina Health in Faribault, MN. Outside of work, Dr. Sauer enjoys outdoor activities such as trail running, fishing, camping, and canoeing, and attending concerts, sporting events, theatre, and spending time with family.

Dr Sauer and his staff are top notch, always makes you feel that you matter, they talk to you not at you, always very nice . Any concerns you have , they are right on them

He doesn't take care of backs and that's what I thought an orthopedic did,,, all bones. He also doesn't have/use an ultrasound for injections.

Nothing negative to report, My contact with Legacy was for an emergent situation. EVERYONE I encountered on staff was very friendly and efficient.

Computer access to my medical records was very easy to use. Receptionist was very positive and friendly. So was the doctor's assistant. Doctor was very knowledgeable and thorough. Payment for co-pay was super easy.

My visit went very well, every member of staff was courteous and very helpful in answering all my questions. The interview with the provider was excellent in providing information about my ailment. My only gripoe is that it would be a lot better if the imiging lab was in the same building as where the interview takes place, rather than having to go to a different building, especially when the condition of my complaint is so painful. Maybe this could be a thought to ponder on.

Dr. Sauer was very professional, and took the time to explain, not only what we were going to do that day, but what we might be facing in the future. He answered all my questions. The shot was almost painless.I had no complications and recovery was fine

Frustrated that this doctor could have just called me with my MRI results and told me that he was not able to help me. I had to pay my co-pay for him to tell me that he is not able to help me and referred me to another doctor. It was a total waste of time

Only good things to say - very glad my PCP referred me to Dr Sauer for my planned knee replacement. As an aside Dr Sauer did hip replacements for my brother a couple years back and he still raves about every aspect of his care thru the whole experience with Dr Sauer and your hospital.
