About Me:

A board certified specialist in Orthopedics, Dr. Sauer is a Orthopedic Surgeon at Legacy Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Sauer earned a bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed a general surgery internship at St. Luke’s Hospital and a residency in orthopedic surgery at MetroHealth St. Luke’s Medical Center also in Cleveland. Dr. Sauer has other clinical experience providing orthopedic care at Essentia Health in Ashland, Wisconsin, Mayo Clinic Health System and Allina Health in Faribault, MN. Outside of work, Dr. Sauer enjoys outdoor activities such as trail running, fishing, camping, and canoeing, and attending concerts, sporting events, theatre, and spending time with family.
