Dr. Harrison Sapper focuses on understanding individuals’ goals and values so he can create tailored treatment plans. As a hospitalist, he considers it a privilege to help patients and their families navigate difficult times. He supports and encourages people to understand their diagnosis and the options available to help them feel better. Dr. Sapper finds it rewarding to care for patients with multiple illnesses and help them navigate the complex interactions between conditions. He has a special interest in treating sepsis, congestive heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Training:
Dr. Sapper earned a bachelor of arts in chemistry at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He earned a doctor of medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel. From there, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He is board-certified in internal medicine.
