About Me:

Dr. McDonald is particularly interested in child development and behavior. He enjoys sharing parenting tips and tricks that can make everyday life a little smoother. Because raising kids is hard and joyful work, he believes in joining together with families to navigate challenges and celebrate successes. He finds that watching children grow and develop into remarkable people is the most rewarding part of being a pediatrician. Prior to joining the clinic, Dr. McDonald was a major in the U.S. Air Force and served as a pediatrician and medical director for the 78th Medical Group at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. He also taught medical students at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, and the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He is board certified in pediatrics.

Training: Dr. McDonald earned a doctor of medicine from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. He completed his residency at Levine Children’s Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. McDonald also earned a bachelor of arts in music from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, and worked as a music director for several years.
