Community Health Grants

Community Health Grants (CHGs) support programs and activities that address identified community health needs, and provide treatment or promote health and healing in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Purpose of community health grants

The purpose of the grant funding for FY20 was to strengthen organizational capacity and support programs and initiatives that address

  • Social determinants of health
  • Health equity
  • Focus on early childhood education and meaningful employment

Funding was awarded to organizations serving historically underserved communities with the intent to impact health disparities and inequities.

Funding priorities

In the first round of funding, Legacy Community Health Grants funded 17 programs and services across Oregon and SW Washington.
