Urinary Continence Men and Women
Do you plan your outings around available bathrooms? Do you leak when you sneeze, laugh or exercise? Are you getting up more than once at night to void?
These conditions in a woman can be caused by childbirth, heavy exercise or other factors that weaken the pelvic floor muscles holding the bladder, uterus and other pelvic organs in place. In men, they can be caused by heavy exercise, weakened pelvic floor muscles, and prostate issues.
Urinary incontinence is not a natural part of aging, and can often be successfully treated through physical therapy.
- Take this quiz about bladder control and if you answer yes to one or more of the questions you may benefit from treatment by one of our highly trained certified pelvic floor physical therapists (CAPP).
