We are committed to provide affirmative, competent care for our transgender, gender non-conforming and non-binary patients.
Multiple care providers across Legacy
We offer many services:
- Hormone therapy
- Primary care
- Gynecological care
- Surgical services
We offer support services to staff, patients and patients' families. We have any educator on staff who works with providers, support staff, and non-clinical staff across all of our hospitals, clinics and urgent care sites.
Pediatric

My care is focused on enhancing wellness through individual therapy, family therapy and connection to community resources and supports."

I feel it is my responsibility (and privilege) as a physician to break down these barriers and reinvent the healthcare experience for my patients. This is particularly true for my transgender patients who have (justifiably) learned to distrust the healthcare system including its providers. “

Surgical

Provides: Hormone therapy initiation & maintenance; gender affirming gynecology; hysterectomy, oophorectomy
Requirements for care: In addition to any insurance requirements, no letter is required for a consultation. Surgical care provided with informed consent. Hormone therapy provided under informed consent. Therapist assessment may be requested depending on co-occurring conditions.

Provides: Gender affirming breast & chest surgery
Requirements for care: In addition to any insurance requirements, one letter of support from a mental health provider for surgery. No letter is required for a consultation. Patients will need to have an established primary care provider.
