LHP’s board and committees are welcoming nine new members to LHP’s governance structure in 2023. The LHP Board and each committee is responsible for a specific segment of LHP operations, planning and development. Each member brings a unique and valuable perspective to developing and growing our clinically integrated network.

Legacy Health Partners is starting 2023 with ten contracts and managing 137,000 lives. Our contracts are comprised of three single-signature contracts and seven overlay contracts. For our single signature contracts, LHP has negotiated the fee for service rates on behalf of the network, as well as any value-based components. An overlay contract means the fee for service rate was negotiated by the practice, but LHP negotiated the value-based components, such as shared savings, and per-member-per-month (PMPM) care coordination fees.

Returning contracts this year include Aetna ACO Commercial, Aetna MA, Cigna CAC, Humana MA, PacificSource Legacy Employee Health Plan, PacificSource MA, PacificSource Navigator, Regence Alliance, and Regence Total Cost of Care. New this year in 2023 is our single signature contract with Devoted Health. Looking ahead in 2023, we will be pursuing direct-to-employer contracts which will allow further expansion in the market. LHP’s Finance and Contracting Committee continues to support and vet opportunities as we pursue taking on more risk in the market.

• Upcoming event on Friday, February 24th from Noon to 1:00pm – Deep Dive into the Disparity Index: Black and African American Patients: Join us for a close examination of the health outcomes data for Black and African American patients and to hear from Black and African American employees about the impacts of disparities in their own work and personal lives. Legacy employees can enroll through E+. All others can use the Join Meeting link here to join the meeting at the scheduled time.
• Primary care practices: submit supplemental clinical data to maximize your performance for certain 2022 measures that are not captured through claims data but are recorded in a patient’s electronic health record (EHR). The deadline to submit data securely to LegacyHealthPartners@lhs.org is March 3rd. If you have questions about completing this process, please talk with your outreach adviser.
• Practice administrators: Review the attestation report in Power BI to verify that completions for 2022 practice and provider measures/activities are accurate. If you find anything is missing or captured incorrectly, submit an appeal request form by March 10th.
• The Family Birth Center at Mount Hood Medical Center is slated to close March 17, pending approval by the State of Oregon. This announcement came after exploring all possible options to continue operating to deliver safe, quality care in a financially sustainable model. Beginning March 17th pregnant people will be transported to Randall Children’s Hospital or another local hospital to give birth. While the birth center will close, Legacy is planning to expand Women’s Health Services at Mount Hood Medical Center.
