Legacy Medical Group−Cardiology is proud to offer cardiac electrophysiology consultations, a variety of treatment options, and, if needed, long-term management in the outpatient setting at the Good Samaritan and Mount Hood clinics with Dr. Nicholas Abbott. Dr. Abbott is a board-certified physician in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiology, internal medicine, and echocardiography. Dr. Abbott went into medicine to help people and never stopped following what held his interest. Because of this, Dr. Abbott has been both lucky and privileged to practice cardiac electrophysiology where he can ameliorate, and sometimes cure, many advanced diseases. Dr. Abbott truly loves his work, but when he is not in the clinic or hospital, he enjoys spending his time outside golfing and being with his family.

Dr Abbott gives his full attention. He shows what procedure was done on a previous experience. He explained moving forward options for treatment. Both pros and cons. My daughter was with me and he answered her questions. He never makes me feel he is rushing. Great communicator.

The doctor was easy to talk to and genuinely concerned. He conducted a very thorough evaluation and, while he found no immediate danger, was proactive in scheduling a yearly follow-up to monitor for any changes.

Dr. Abbott rarely ever has time to really discuss issues. He is in and out. I leave wishing I could restart the visit because of questions.

I was nervous going into this appointment because my experience with a prior electrophysiologist was so terrible. Dr. Abbott immediately made me feel at ease. He listened to my concerns, took them seriously, and came up with a care plan that we both agreed upon. I never felt rushed or dismissed. I moved to Oregon several years ago, and my experiences with male doctors in (past location removed) were so terrible that I have avoided seeing male providers since. Dr. Abbott and the other providers I have seen in the Legacy system have changed my perspective. He is not only responsible for being the first doctor to provide a great experience in seeking care for my heart arrhythmia, but also he shares responsibility for changing my perspective on male providers to a positive one.

Dr. Abbott is an excellent doctor. I was worried because my regular cardiologist had retired and he was so experienced, but Dr. Abbott is very knowledgeable as well. He listens well and answers questions in language I can understand.
