About Me:

Dr. Cheng earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. From there he completed his medical degree from University of Washington, Seattle, where he simultaneously earned a PhD in Biophysics. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center before moving to New York. There, Dr. Cheng completed his general cardiology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center before completing his electrophysiology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center. Prior to beginning his formal education, Dr. Cheng spent time in the United States Army. Dr. Cheng enjoys complex ablations, including those for ventricular tachycardia (VT), atypical flutters, atrial fibrillation, and premature ventricular contractions (PVC). He also has extensive training in device implantation, including pacemakers, ICDs, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) and loop recorders.
