Great doctor and very competent staff

I waited in the waiting room for a half an hour and then had to leave for another appointment so I did not see the doctor. This is the second time that I've had to wait for longer than a half an hour and had to reschedule. I find this unacceptable.

Oitstanding overall

Trying to make the appointment was a 30 minute trial . Message, wait, message, someone asked, again, who I was waiting to speak to and then the call was dropped and then back to waiting.

I mentioned to Dr.Kinast about a study I had read relating my condition, glaucoma, and caffeine intake. The jist being increased eye pressure negatively affected by caffeine. His response was to laugh, and told me, at the end of my appointment to " enjoy your filtered coffee." This I found disrespectful. I guess he knows all there is to know about, probably everything. Not a good quality, in my opinion, in a health care provider.

Visited via ER - not really much interaction with support staff, but no complaints. Several questions 'n/a'.

FRIENDLY, PATIENT, CARING AND RESPECTFUL

The ER was quite busy the night and into the next morning when I visited. I arrived about 2100and left the next day about 0430. But I needed stitches and was grateful to get a CT head scan as I needed to. Thank you.

A new contact was ordered and received. Hank's vision in his left eye is AMAZING! WOW!!!!!

I had to wait a long time because of emergencies (one of which was mine) and the staff kept me posted and apologized for the inconvenience.

Dr Rice is the best optometrist. But it is difficult because she doesn't have an assistant right now and she has to do everything herself. Not her fault, but I have been waiting over a year and a half for workable contacts for myself that I have previously paid for, she has had trouble with getting assistance that are consistent and helpful. I have multiple times sent messages and come to find out. They all went to her assistant that is taking a medical leave. Dr Rice is excellent, but she needs help in order to be the best clinician that she can be.

Legacy Health does a good job in caring for their patients. Pasadhika is a good doctor and does a good job helping me with my eye condition. But I wish he could provide me a cure.

The Doctor found that a tear was not completely treated by the previous laser treatment and squeezed me in to do the necessary treatment. His college was on vacation, and he was very busy and still got me scheduled in the same day and treated me successfully.

Dr Pasadika was very thorough. He asked questions, listened, compared results from last visit, answered all my questions , and went the extra mile to check my eyes if I had any concerns that were new. Very intelligent, caring, confident and I left feeling taken good care of. I did wish he was not as rushed as he seemed!

The doc was amazing. I feel like I get extraordinary care. Noted issues and scheduled laser correction immediately to resolve. Incredible. He and his staff juggle his robust patient load so well.

Dr Pasadhika is very accommodating, he removes concretion from my eyes when is usually done by an ophthalmologist. I ask Dr Pasahdika because he is gentle, less painful and less bleeding thus less discomfort afterwards. Dr pasahdika is very good at taking care of my eyes I know he would rather have my regular ophthalmologist remove the concretion but he will remove them when I ask him!!!

I found Dr Kinest knowledgeable, very engaged and helpful when I asked about some experiences I had been having with my eyes. I also appreciate that I was able to change my appointment when I needed to and got one soon.

Dr. Kinast is straight and to the point. There's no beating around the bush, which I personally like. He listened to what I had to say and comments were made in a way I understood what he was saying. I didn't walk out of there wondering what the hell he was talking about. He was precise. I liked him.

Spent a good amount of time with me. Answered all questions and explained everything that is happening in a way I could understand it. Did additional tests nobody else has done. The team knew about my case before I even arrived which was impressive.

Nurse assistants and doctor were of top notch highest caliber in professionalism and care.

The dr never got my files (which I had sent to them over 3!years ago ) never read my history with this particular significant eye issue. Instead he claimed whatever he could learn from my past medical records were mostly irrelevant! Shocking frankly also I made it clear when making this appointment that I wanted an eye exam update for my glasses. He told me he couldn't do that and to call someone else.

She's been my eye doc for a long time. Always friendly, and doesn't make me feel old.

I saw another Dr previously who retired. I was new to this Dr and he was so much more available for questions which was sincerely appreciated. He never discounted what I said and gave me the feeling that he genuinely cared about my Optic Health.

Karen Rice is exceptional and an asset to Legacy. I have numerous eye issues and she is the only provider to ever prescribe the best possible correction. Dr Thanos is a careful, caring physician practicing my care in a conservative manner, as it should be. The positive outlook and attitude he exudes is also expressed by his upbeat staff.

Dr Rice is amazing and her tech Chris is also amazing The check in clerks are not friendly and I was early and they did not want to check me in told me to walk around and come back closer to my time. I told them No check me in now I will wait and glad I did as Dr Rice was able to take me earlier and the front desk should never tell someone to leave and come back very unprofessional

The initial exam was done by an intern. She did not say she was an intern but Dr said so after she came in later after initial eye exam was done. I would have like to have been told she was intern and was it ok before she started. For example she noted had a bump or something on one eye. Then Dr came in and said it was so minor they had never mentioned it to me before. But there was no need to get me worried about it before Dr came in. Thought very strange. I assumed she was a normal assistant

This provider I have been seeing for a long time ago is just an amazing eye specialist, I completely trust him and I am happy under his care.

It Is hard these days to get most any medical appointment (other than In an emergency) as soon as one would like. We accept this. What I did not like was the message I received on or around May 6th when I called to secure an appointment for the procedure with the YAG laser. I was told not to leave a message, that they were too busy to deal with messages and that I would be called when they had time to put us on the schedule. After two weeks with no call I called again and managed to get an appointment one month out from our initial visit. Maybe this is the normal wait time, but I hope that the message I heard on or around May 6th is not the norm. I was also put off by the woman behind the glass at the waiting room at Devers downtown where my husband had the YAG procedure when she responded "I have no Idea. He's not our doctor" when I asked a question about the wait time.Concerning Dr Acohido we have nothing but praise. (Written by the wife of the patient)

The doctors at Dever I feel are excellent, but I think they are being pushed to the limit. They seem to be racing from room to room, not because they like that, but because there doesn't seem to be enough doctors to handle the patient load. I was asked to return after about 6 weeks for followup, but I was told I couldn't see a doctor until September. Thanks to my doctor caring enough about my problem, I received a follow up call to ask how I was doing & they were able to find a cancellation that was a bit sooner. That is a sorry state of affairs for medicine and this clinic.

This visit was good, but my prior appointment that week (in the Vancouver office) had an unprofessional receptionist, an extremely long wait time, and an outdated appearance. Also, the walls were very thin, and I could hear the doctor's conversations with other patients, which made me concerned that other patients could hear my discussion. The doctor and medical staff were all friendly and professional, but I do think someone should have told me to remove my eye make-up before the injection.

The 5/24 visit with Dr. Thanos was an initial consultation to further evaluate the status of my AMD and discuss treatment. This consult was ordered by Dr. Streiko.I found Dr. Thanos to be a very cordial and respectful Eye Specialist. He set an atmosphere of openness with questions and provided detailed explanations of the status on my condition, current treatments. He was extremely knowledgeable and generous in providing information on current treatments and research. In the setting of what is a very busy clinic he took time to review the imaging from the visit and again answer questions. As a retired NP who has worked with and been seen by a number of medical professionals I found his approach to care to be among the best I have received. I am very pleased and appreciative to be under the care of Dr. Thanos for my retinal condition.

I recognized the signs/symptoms of a retinal tear one afternoon, and Devers got me into Dr. Pasadyka the next morning. He and his team have exceeded my expectations.

I felt I wasn't taken seriously. He didn't explain things just provided short answers. & he's in my opinion insensitive.

The clinic itself is really in need of maintenance and refresh. It is cold and sad with old dated bathroom and carpet and paint. Waiting in the hallway like a sardine too close to 2 other patients waiting for my eyes to dilate was really uncomfortable. I have always been seated privately in an exam room during this time at all other eye clinics I have used.The staff is very good but the clinic itself is so run down and sad and the microphones the receptionists use to check in patients negates any patient confidentiality.

Doctor Thanos is great but his staff weren't friendly- did not introduce themselves, did not even greet me. The tech who was taking pictures of my eyes was roughly turning my head and jerking my head around. Only the last person I interacted with was nice and friendly. I think the staff should be reminded to be pleasant and friendly to the patients.

Waited over 40 minutes to be taken back to an exam room and waited even longer to see the provider. My appointment was at 1300. I was not seen until 1340 by a tech. I was out of the clinic by 1430.

I checked in 15 minutes prior to my 1:45 appointment....they didn't let Dr Thanos office upstairs at Devers know that I had checked in...after going to both registration desks again I finally got to his exam room at 2:45....apparently they didn't check me in....I had also checked in on line previously....Dr Thanos and his staff are always very kind and professional....although the wait time was very frustrating I guess human error is always possible.

I am there to see Doctor Rosenbaum which only happens for a quick cordially visit because he's known me for 23 years. What came with the package of seeing D Rosenbaum was Dr Pasadhika Whom I've never liked yet in any visit that I've had with him And considering my health history 5 years and I don't think he's 45 old I think he should listen Up! I'm there to see Rosenbaum and I hope to God he's overseen every action of this young guy. He assured me he has been trying to teach him everything he knows but you should improve his bedside manner because every visit has been hitting heads against me and him and I only see him for under 10 minutes. In short I actually don't like him if Rosenbaum should die tomorrow I would find a new Doctor. I'm sorry to say this but even last visit he was asking me questions about how often I was taking medications and I told him he then in turn said the argumentation once again was conflicting and we are not friends. So he said he would look at the computer AND "oh my God what a great idea"! Then he decided to tell me I was on 4 drops a per hymn I said no honey I came here on an emergency and we quickly went to pretty zone drops every hour in both eyes what you're looking at is what Doctor Schuler at OSHU had prescribed which was 4 drops only in the right eye and that's how I ended up in in emergency and switched doctors!!! No mind you he had just told me that we started out at 4 drops in every eye per Him! That's why I don't like the guy. He doesn't pay attention he's not nice and I would never keep him on unless I wanted to continue to see Rosenbaum. Who I hope to d*** God is overseeing all this and not just coming in to visit at the end of The Visit I'm starting to wonder what's going on over there. Don't give me wrong I love Doctor Rosenbaum he knows that I know that I just don't like this Doctor p

The Doctor was on top of his game. He showed me a model of an eye and explained to me what was wrong with my eye. He was very good at his explanation.. From that he showed me why we were going to get another review in 6 weeks to see how things were going.

Dr Pasadhika is an excellent retina specialist. My only fear is Regence Insurance dropping Legacy Health Care in April 2024 and from that point on will not cover any medical costs. I love the Legacy Healthcare received at Good Samaritan and am worried I will have to find alternative providers. I hope the contact is settled favorably.

My first eye exam at Legacy Devers Eyes Institute with Dr. Karen Rice and it was a positive experience.

Dr. Pasadihka is a very good, knowledgeable doctor, and provides very good care. He does seem to be very, very busy, rushes from room to room, entering and leaving the room many times in a rush. He is very busy. Possibly he could do a better job in treating patients if he was not so stressed by his over-busy schedule.

Plenty of sitting time to meditate

After my appointment, I was confused about what to do next. I was given a new prescription for eyeglasses, but was never told where to get them. I had also had my eyes dilated, but was not told anything about difficulty driving home. It was a scary drive. They should have suggested bringing a driver beforehand.

Dr.Thanos was very busy. I was in the clinic for over two hours for my appointment. I would like more explanations about what might occur when I leave, before I leave. This injection did not hurt as others have as I waited for an hour after numbing and before the injection.

I do not like having my head forced into the camera machine, esp w/o being asked first

I was made to feel at ease about my necessary cataract surgery. I have been uneasy about the thought of eye surgery in the past but I was impressed with the routine and ease of the process and had complete confidence in the doctor and staff.

Karen Rice is my eye doctor. I have seen her for years. She is terrific. My biggest concern is if Regence and Legacy are unable to negotiate a resolution to an issue that affects all Regence members who rely on their Regence doctors and Karne is one of them.

I was scheduled for the wrong location. Very frustrating.

I waited behind the little sign in the waiting room to be checked in for 15 minutes before there was anyone "available" at the front desk. Once the attendant arrived, she was frankly - just rude. No eye contact whatsoever and did not speak loudly enough for me to hear her. Her whole vibe was "I don't want to be here and having to help you is a real inconvenience for me." I hope she was just having a bad day - as we all do. It didn't feel great to have to wait for 15 minutes and then be made to feel very unwelcome.

I have had other other doctors who have provided for my eye condition including the state of Colorado in addition other eye care specialist in Portland . Dr Pasadhika is by far the most caring, understanding , thoughtful and respectful physician for overall eye care.

I called regarding a torn retina & was not only able to get an appointment the same day, the doctor saw to it that I was able to get emergency surgery that evening. He explained everything clearly & patiently & stayed late to preform the surgery at 7:00 PM. Dr Pasadhika went above & beyond to make sure I received the emergency treatment I needed. I cannot speak highly enough of the doctor, his team, Devers clinic & all the surgical staff at Good Sam who worked late to accommodate me with last minute surgery. A+++ rating. Thank you one & all!

Snow storm left a skeleton crew, made timing a little off, and expected. As a person who uses disabled placards it would be better for me if there were accessible spots closer to the Eye Clinic and easier to access.

Jen, Dr Jones and Isaac are unbelievably thorough, patient and attentive. I appreciate how easy it is to contact my docs through your portal and in person. I'm an Organizational Development Consultant, so I know when I see good people in the right places. It also tells me a lot about the management style that I don't see or deal with. Service and care was excellent

This was an initial office visit so I don't have a lot of experience for evaluation.

I waited for over 11/2 hours to see the photography technician. It seems the machine had malfunctioned, but no one bothered to tell me why I was waiting so long.

Dr. Gadzala is great. I'm doing/recovering from my injuries better than expected because I have professionals doing excellent work, like Dr. Gadzala on my team. Thank you!

Dr. Kinast is attentive, shows concern and respect, and patience with my questions and concerns. I'm confident in his care.

Dr. Rice is the best of the best. She had shown extreme levels of patience with me for the last 2 years that I will forever be grateful for. We've been on a journey together and every time I leave with a smile on my face from being educated and cared for. Cris has been just as patient with me and educated me a lot on how to use and wear my contacts.Thank you so much!The receptionist there can be better. They tend to rush in the check ins when I've shown no signs I'm of being in a rush. I'm always willing to wait and give them the time they need so they're not rushing me. It's our job to arrive earlier than scheduled and we can wait if we're not there when we need to be.

Slightly awkward checking-in on 1st floor and then going up to the second floor to wait. Just a few extra steps.

Wait time was very long but staff was very courteousl and Dr Thanos was excellent

For the phone staff: my bus was @15 minutes late arriving to take me to my visit. I called the office number and both the person answering the phone and the person I was transferred to were very helpful and said there would be no problem keeping the appointment and thanked me for calling. For the medical staff: all were very responsive and helpful as usual. (This is a routine eye procedure I get @ every 12-14 weeks.)

The doctors were very kind, respectful and knowledgeable. I'm very happy to have been referred and to be having surgery there.

Devers Eye(s), if not rated as the number one eye clinic in America, they damn well should be. There's nothing "routine" about losing ones eyesight; especially someone whos oldest, greatest and dearest passion is and has been since 1971, the art and science of photography! Please extend my deepest appreciation and sincere wishes for "everyone" at not just Devers but the entire Legacy Health System network for giving me one of the necessary needs I require to exist; that being the feeling of safety, security and love as, I'm guessing, a byproduct of their passion(s) to serve those in need.... Doctor took centra time to reassure me that I wouldn't go blind and drew up a list of light bulbs brightness options so that I pick a more appropriate one.

Comfortable to communicate with

I am seeing This eye Dr for an extreme eye problem that he is treating w eye injections that aren't on the formulary that Pacificare usesI am a long term Legacy RN and am fortunate that he has samples as this treatment is helping my eye condition. Pacificare should reconsider what they authorize

Both the receptionist and medical assistant were absolutely pleasant and professional. If things were based on only them alone I would recommend this place to everybody. But Dr. Kinast himself was just horrible. I didn't have to wait long to see him but that's where the good things stop. When he entered the room he did not introduce himself. After a moment I asked him if he was Dr. Kinast and he then said yes. He also did not confirm my identity in any way before starting the exam. The only reason I knew I was the right patient he was expecting to see was that he stated out loud my latest A1C result without even asking me first if I knew what it was. He did not ask any questions about, or give me the chance to talk about my vision issues. The exam itself was extremely brief. I was then told that both my eyes were in great health, when I know that is not a fact as I've been told on many occasions by my previous provider. At the end, there was no acknowledgement from him that the appointment was over. After a few moments of silence I thanked him and left the room. Here's probably the 2nd biggest problem with my visit, from the entire time that Dr. Kinast first entered the room and up until I left, the door was left wide open. Literally anyone could've walked by and overheard my personal health information. The only reason this was not an issue is because of the biggest problem that I already stated, he was not thorough and lied to my face about the health of my eyes. I will never work with this doctor again.

I was on time and waited about 40-45 minutes to see the provider and was not updated that the provider was running late.

I have enjoyed services provided to me at Legacy Devers. All staff are helpful. I will return in the future.

Provider was able to fit me in even though I got mixed up about my appt time and arrived late. Provider was caring, patient, and knowledgeable. She put me at ease, answered my questions, and calmed my fears. One of the most positive medical visits I've had.

Dr Pasadhika first saw me after my first corneal transplant failed due to implantation of a contaminated donor tissue. If I succeed with this transplant, it will be due to extreme measures on the part of this procedure. Extremely stressful!!!

I was extremely pleased with the experience. I had previously been seen at EyeHealth NW which was not satisfactory. But this was like hitting the Jackpot, from check-in, to the incredibly professional medical assistant and most importantly, the excellent physician! The doctor was professional, thorough, detailed in her explanation, recommendations and plan of care going forward. I was really impressed by the quality of care I received and would definitely recommend this MD and clinic to others.

Dr Thanos is a very caring and friendly specialist and his attitude and personality is reflected also in his staff who are always friendly, nice and helpful. I feel very lucky to have Dr Thanos as my Retinologist and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs specialized eye care or surgery

The facilities looked a little shabby and rundown and could use a refresh, this is certainly true of the paint and carpet.

Dr THAMAS IS VERY CARING AND REALLY LISTENS AND MAKES GOOD DECISIONS.

In spite of the fact that I have to get a large needle in my eye (not as bad as it sounds, as they are very careful to ensure comfort), visits to treat my wet AMD are always most pleasant. All the staff are amazing, as is Dr. Thanos, who has a wonderful chairside manner, listens to my concerns, laughs at my terrible jokes and, most Important, excels in his area of expertise. I am certain that if I can leave this world with my sight mostly intact, it will be because of Dr. Thanos. He and his staff are wonderful.

Once I was with the Dr, everything was excellent. Dealing with the woman at the check-in desk was not. She was unfriendly, unhelpful and generally surly. I waited about 5 minutes while she was on the phone. She finished her call and she immediately got up and went into the back. I gave up after about 10 minutes of waiting without any idea what she was doing. I came back and found her sitting at her desk, I approached the window and she said "I'm not ready for you yet". She finished her typing, called me back to the window, checked me in, and when done, she told me in the procedure is to wait at the sign until being called to the window. I told her I was waiting at the sign when she disappeared for a long time. She said she was helping someone else. Rude, dismissive, and unpleasant!

Office staff taking photographs seemed haphazard and disorganized; not familiar with the ophthalmology cameras.

Dr Kinast was so rushed and was clearly annoyed by my questions -especially about surgical options and risks. Rather than listen to questions or provide clarity, he just talked louder at and over me. I was asked to sign a pre-op before even meeting Dr Kinast, before talking about surgery, options, risks, etc. It felt like I was in a surgery factory. I left with no confidence in Dr. Kinast nor did I feel I was given the tools to make a well-informed decision on surgical options. Such a shame. Devers was always the gold standard.

Not only the staff but Dr PkWas very informative kind and explained everything to me about my eyes and my diabetes and everybody in the office was excellent

I cannot make an appointment withy doctor since I have not him for a while. It would be nice to see him on a regular basis like I used to do.

Dr. Rice is the best provider for my eyecare needs. I always look forward to seeing her and she remembers personal things about me and my family.

Was a good visit with a plan for surgery

Dr. Pasadhika is an excellent physician with superior knowledge and manual capability and skill that he repeatedly demonstrates with injections into my eye.

This clinic is ALWAyS running lateVery frustrating and disrespectful of patients time

Dr. Knast is is great!!! He's knowledgeable and I feel comfortable with him. He's saving my eyesight and I really couldn't be more appreciative. The receptionnest are a little rude sometimes and that's after you waited on hold for a solid 30 minutes. It's always a long hold to speak with someone if you have to cancel or move an appointment... It can be exhausting.

I had been in Legacy ED the night before and I very much appreciate the speed within which I was fit into the schedule.

Given the crazy history of my vision, the visit was quite interesting and even fun.

Andrews mom is filling this out. He is autistic and adhd. Dr Rice and cris her tech were the best we have ever had with him. They took the time to take my advice and talk to him before they dis anything. Explained it all and allowed him to do what ever touching was needed he doesn't like being touched or crowded. They did amazing. His dad and I were both so happy we almost cried when he let them dilate without us having to physically get involved. Thank you for being so so good with him. He was almost acting as though he does when he talks to us and not a total stranger it is so great to see.

This visit I was expecting to have my eyes examined for prescription Lenses, but was not assertive in my request. Then, eyedrops were put in to dilate eyes to look at my Health, so I had to come back the next day for the eye exam.

I get great care from all at Devers eye clinic. Great treatment!!

Waited 20 minutes in lobby after appointment time, then waiting nearly an hour in room before seeing provider (who was in the room for 5-6 minutes). In all spent nearly 2 hours for an appointment that should only have taken 30 minutes.

Dr. Pasadhika is truly amazing! He is caring and VERY VERY competent. He always shows concerns and offers suggestions to your problems. Took complete control of a potential tea in my retina to laser it immediately. Always lets me know that I have priority and to phone the office, any time.
