About Me:

I chose to specialize in Colon and Rectal Surgery because I enjoy the vast variety of disease processes I am able to care for. I enjoy helping my patients, who are often in very difficult and unexpected circumstances, be able to effectively navigate through the clinical options and opportunities that are currently available. My goal is to create treatment plans with my patients, which are then specifically tailored for each individual. This includes multidisciplinary care and collaboration to enact a patient-centric care pathway.My training began at University of Maryland where I graduated with my Doctor of Medicine Degree. I went on to complete my General Surgery training at University of Florida, where I developed my appreciation of the Colon and Rectal Surgery specialty.I completed my Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship at OHSU. Considering the awkward reason for my visit, everyone was friendly but business like and I never felt uncomfortable once.

Finally got in to see Dr.Butler after 5 wks after referral from my primary care doctor.Appreciate his examination of my condition & his recommendation to solve condition.Wish I would have received more info on my visit on MyHealth portal from Dr.Butler.Other than that,it was good.

I have seen this provider in the past and he was soft-spoken and very kind. At this visit he was very loud and rude did not listen. He was not caring. I will never use him or anyone in that practice ever again.

PT was hard, but the provider was understanding and helped give me info about other referrals that had gotten lost in the mix.

Dr Butler had studied my records and was not only familiar with them but very helpful in assisting my concerns and suggesting treatment options. I was impressed with his knowledge, helpfulness, and professionalism

Did not listen to my concerns, My medical conditions. Had his own agenda. Did not want to hear about symptoms, only wanted to hear about constipation.Period.

Good experience overall. Very kind and informed doctors, nurses, assistants, and front desk staff. My only issue was that the doctor took some inaccurate notes in the "after visit" as it appears on MyHealth/MyChart. And, the doctor did not give me instructions on how to take care of the abscess site if it drains itself, which happened since seeing him. I've reached out via MyHealth, and they have not gotten back to me. Outside of that, the team is great.

It was a great visit. They ordered a CT scan and the reason no one contacted me to discus the results is because the scan hasn't happened yet.

Dr Butler gave me a very clear action list with clear reasons for it. He told me about the best and worst case scenarios. I don't see how he could have done a better job.

I will always go see Dr. Butler, he is a brilliant surgeon. But I will never ho to Legacy hospital or ED again. The worst experience in my life.
