About Me:
Dr. Maas earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with College Honors from UCLA. While in medical school, he scored in the 100th percentile on the USMLE Step 1, and he continued on to graduate medical school at the top of his class. After completing his internship at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Maas completed his residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Maas has researched prostate cancer, skin cancer, brain metastases, X-ray radiation therapy planning, radiosurgery, proton radiation therapy, and medical education. His research has been published in top radiation oncology journals such as the Red Journal and Practical Radiation Oncology. Dr. Maas treats all types of cancer with a focus on external beam radiotherapy including 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and IGRT. Dr. Maas enjoys playing volleyball, going to concerts, swimming, hiking, skiing, and exploring Portland restaurants with his wife.
