Quality Corner: Congratulations to LHP’s 2022 Quality Award Winners

We are pleased to congratulate Legacy Medical Group–Raleigh Hills as the winner of the 2022 LHP Quality Awards and $1,000 prize for their project focused on providing osteoporosis education and therapeutic guidance.

LMG Raleigh Hills improved medication adherence for osteoporosis by addressing perceptions and resistance with patients, focused on nutrition awareness and access to exercise techniques for bone strength, provided an educational booklet, and incorporated supportive leisure skills by offering tips on adaptive gardening and installing raised garden beds with calcium rich food at their clinic. Patients were able to learn about their diagnosis in a group setting and reported having active support from peers helped create a safe environment for sharing their experience.

Congratulations to the entire staff at LMG Raleigh Hills for your innovative ideas to educate patients about their health and engage them in managing their diagnosis.

We’d also like to recognize our other quality award nominees this year. Please join us in celebrating their achievements!

  • Hillsboro Pediatrics: 2nd place and a $750 prize for providing clinic-wide gender identity training and updating processes to be more inclusive to provide a safe, supportive and empowering environment for transgender and gender-diverse youth.
  • Creekside Medical Clinic: 3rd place and a $500 prize for opening access to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to anyone over 6 months of age in their community to help vaccinate as many community members as possible, regardless of where they receive primary care.
