About Me:
Steven Matous, MD, has worked as a general surgeon in the Portland/Vancouver area since 1996. Dr. Matous is the Director of the Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomy Program for Legacy Transplant Services. In addition he works at Southwest Medical Group Surgical Specialists.Along with his core surgical training, this program exposed him to advanced breast cancer care, intensive care medicine, colorectal surgery, and trauma surgery. Subsequently, he undertook advanced training in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Maryland Baltimore. Here he gained experience in laparoscopic surgeries such as antireflux surgery, colon removal, hernia repair, and kidney removal for transplantation. Dr. Matous specializes in abdominal surgery with an emphasis on laparoscopic procedures. The procedures include minimally invasive surgery treatment for GERD, hernias, and various other surgeries.
