About Me:

Dr. Selden's research interests include neural transplantation and surgical outcomes for pediatric neurotrauma, spina bifida, and Chiari malformation, as well as neurosurgical education and simulation. He has published over 150 peer reviewed journal articles. He is a Past-president of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Secretary of the Society of Neurological Surgeons, and a Director of the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Selden is also interested in the history of medicine, and is co-author (with classicist Nigel Nicholson) of "The Rhetoric of Medicine: Lessons on Professionalism from Ancient Greece" (Oxford University Press, 2019).
