About Me:

Lewis L Low, MD is the Senior vice president and chief medical officer for Legacy Health. Before arriving in Portland, Dr Low served as the Director of Critical Care Medicine at St Francis Medical Center and Kuakini Medical Center, both in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was Assistant Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Hawaii. Before that, he served in the United States Army, which included the role of Chief of Critical Care Medicine and Medical Director of Respiratory Care at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis, Washington.Dr Low has received nine teacher of the year awards, and holds the Meritorious Service, Humanitarian Service, and National Defense Medals, among others. He has published multiple articles in scientific journals, and is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
