About Me:

Legacy Medical Group Cardiology is excited to introduce Jeffrey Drood, M.D. After graduating from medical school at Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Drood completed an internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Drood’s clinical interests include implantation and management of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators, heart rhythm disorders, and preventive cardiology. Dr. Drood encourages his patients to ask questions. “I enjoy spending time teaching patients about their health issues,” he explains. “I think outcomes are at their best when patients take an active role and thereby some responsibility for the care they receive.”

I've seen Dr. Drood before and this time he was running behind, very curt in his responses and generally not as pleasant as the other times I have seen him.

I had to ask about the lab work that I had done. I wasn't informed about the change of the lab. You are now using Lab Corp and I had concerns about whether or not my insurance would cover the cost.In addition I think it is rediculous that you don't have endocrinologists at this medical facility and that it's a very long wait to get an appointment to see my cardiologist. It's hard to imagine that my health is important.

I just moved to this provider since my hospital stay. Dr Drood was my Cardiologist in the hospital and I really liked the way he listened and answered questions for me. This was our first office visit since that time and I am still impressed. Dr Drood is a very hands-on involved doctor. He did the ICD interrogation himself and made comments and assessments on the spot instead of me having to wait to read it in Legacy My Health app. He answered all of my and my wife's questions. Was very patient and never made me feel rushed or like he had somewhere else to be.

Physician was very thorough, clear and I did not feel like just another patient. He helped me repeat the go over the list of things he would do and I needed to do so I wouldn't forget. My first time seeing him. I was very impressed and am very confident in his future care of me.

Have had the pleasure of coming to Legacy Cardiology, from the moment you walk in to check in you feel very at ease. The professionalism and care from the nursing staff is great, and the Drs' are outstanding. I know I am under expert cardio care and am so grateful. Wile being monitored yearly, I am also expertly guided on how to stay on the path of good heart health, without feeling like I am being lectured or chastised. So very blessed being under this provider's care.

Dr. Drood is exceptional in both his knowledge, organization, and kindness towards his patients. He treat you like a family member. The receptionist today was not like any other has been in that office: Curt, difficult to understand it would not speak up when asked. It was like dealing with a robot and not very well programmed robot.

Doc is very busy takes awhile to get appointment . Though no fault of doc's. If it was an emergency I am sure I would be taken care of .

Dr. Drood is always looking for the answer to the problem. He explains what he's thinking and why so that you can follow his reasoning, which establishes confidence in his decisions and promotes trust. He doesn't doctor at you he doctors with you, and that's rare nowadays.

This was a first visit/establish new patient/transfer from out of the area. Although I initially had difficulty getting the process started, it has since been a smooth transition.
