Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Weingarten earned a medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School-Newark. He completed an internship and residency at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. Dr. Weingarten enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and caring for patients with diabetes. Outside of work, Dr. Weingarten enjoys cycling, golf, hiking and rock climbing. He has two grown children that are the light of his life.

Introduction to the appointment was cold. He did not know why I was there. It was one of my regular 3 month check ups. In addition he did not acknowledge my husband's death and he was his doctor as well! No compassion.

Weingarten is very good, as is the staff. However, the paperwork given by office staff makes patients feel as though there are health concerns they can not discuss with the doctor/nurse.....or they'll get charged an additional fee, or forced to schedule an additional appointment. This is unfortunate, and places an obstacle between the patient and the health care provider. It does NOT create a welcoming experience. I understand that this is a top management decision, not one made by the attending doctors, but this kind of "efficiency" is detrimental to patients, and could easily lead to patients not communicating their full health concerns to their doctors. I hope there is enough patient pushback that management will reconsider this decision.

Dr. Weingarten is very well-informed and thorough in addressing my healthcare needs. He seeks consultation as necessary. He communicates test results and other information in a timely and appropriate manner. I appreciate his knowledge and expertise and his use of research and other professionals to address challenging symptoms.

This was an appointment to establish a doctor/patient relationship. It was in the same office as my previous physician who left her practice. Records were all available and transition went smoothly. You should add a question about first time meeting with physician to establish future care.

I started to tell the provider of my concerns based on what I read online. He said, "I don't need to know what you read online", which cut off what I really wanted to tell him which was about my concerns of the symptoms I had been having. Otherwise I think he did listen to me carefully. But that interaction made me felt bad and I think held me back a little to tell him about my concerns.

The lab services available atcthe clinic is slow and/or under staffed. My wait to have blood drawn was longercthan my consult with the Dr. Totally unacceptable! I questioned the Dr. About questions regarding my cardiologist , pacemaker Nd meducations, the Dr sent an e-mail or text to him but have not been afforded a response about my concerns. Additionally, I do not at thisxtime have a lead cardiologist as Dr Reddy left atcthe endcorc2023 and I have not been contacted to establish a ne relationship. All very disconcerninh!!!

The office staff was so friendly and Dr. Weingarden was very thorough. He asked lots of questions and I felt like he really wanted to understand the whole picture of my health even though I'm not his regular patient. He gave me straightforward instructions to move forward with that were organized and easy to follow.

Dr. Weingarten referred me to the adjacent X-ray office for an X-ray. I waited 25 minutes for the clerk at the X-ray facility, and then was told that the X-ray person had gone home sick for the day TWO HOURS before. Why couldn't someone tell me that right away? There were two other clerks behind the adjacent desks.

The only bad thing was that when I was asked to go to the lab to have my blood drawn, the lab people hadn't received the order from the Dr. Yet so I was just sitting their for like 20 minutes before I finally said something then the guy behind the desk was a little rude about signing in to the portal which I had tried to do earlier but it didn't work for .e so he finally got up and showed me the right way to do it and their was a lot of patients in the lobby so it was kind of embarrassing.

Dr Weingarten is always a great doctor to see. My husband and I have both seen him when our regular gp was unavailable and we think he does a terrific job. No nonsense, yet compassionate. Thorough and yet not a fussbudget :).

Overall it was excellent. The only suggestion is to improve or coach the receptionists in the lab/imaging area. They are difficult to understand (I don't think English is their first language) and one in particular is quite abrasive both on the phone and in person. When I heard her voice and saw her in person during my last visit, I remembered trying to understand her on the phone earlier in the year. She was rude and dismissive to me then and I also observed it while I was waiting to get my blood drawn when she was speaking to others. The receptionists inside the doctor's office were great; friendly, efficient, and easy to understand.

Dr. Weingarten provided excellent evaluation of my issues. He was proactive in reaching out to a specialist and for obtaining referrals for diagnostic imaging. He is thorough, patient, considerate, empathetic and focused. I am very fortunate that he is my PCP.

Dr. Weingsrten is an excellent physician. Insurance networks come and go but Dr. Weingarten will continue to be my primary care physician as long as he is practicing.

I have a great relationship with Dr. Weingarten since I moved to Oregon I'm 2016. He has always been my go to doctor who understand, explains, and has a plan for my treatments. I even recommended him to my wife who is looking for a doctor.

I came in for remember pain. The medical assistant picked me up and walked very quickly to the scale and the room while I slowly followed. She was not friendly, nor was the doctor I did not feel any compassion from the provider. I told the provider what I had been taking was not working and he told me to keep doing that. That didn't make any sense to me. I don't feel the concern or care that I normally experience with my usual provider at this clinic.

Visit went well and I was able to see a provider in a timely manner. However, I have only seen my primary care provider for a yearly checkup. So she barely knows who I am and that is true of all the substitutions who see me. I looked at getting an appointment with her and her next available appointment is four months away.
