The Legacy Stroke Program is a nationally accredited stroke program, reaching the highest level of certification. The goal of these certifications and guidelines is to reduce death and disability from stroke.
- Legacy Emanuel Medical Center: Comprehensive Stroke Center (DNV-GL Healthcare)
- Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center: Primary Plus Stroke Center (DNV-GL Healthcare) – this means they are “thrombectomy capable”
- Legacy Good Samaritan, Meridian Park, and Salmon Creek Medical Center: Primary Stroke Center (The Joint Commission)
- Legacy Silverton Medical Center: Not currently certified, but functions/operates at the level of an acute stroke ready center where they utilize telemedicine coverage and can provide acute stroke care and then transfer most patients if admission is needed.
- Get With The Guidlines is the premier hospital-based quality improvement program for the American Heart Association and the National Stroke Association, recognizing those hospitals that treat heart and stroke patients according to the most up-to-date guidelines. In 2021, Legacy stroke care received the following recognition:
- Legacy Emanuel Medical Center –– Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll Elite.
- Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center –– Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
- Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center –– Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll Elite.
- Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center –– Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll Elite and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
- Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center –– Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll Elite and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
