Donations from medical staff help local organizations
The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of numerous events hosted by medical staffs at Legacy medical centers. The groups donated that money, which totals $97,000, to several Legacy sites and local organizations. Here is a recap of those donations.
Emanuel
- $20,000 to Legacy Oregon Burn Center
- $10,000 to Oregon Food Bank
- $10,000 to KairosPDX (educational nonprofit)
- $10,000 to Legacy capital improvements directly benefiting Legacy Emanuel medical staff
- $5,000 to the Legacy’s Resident Intern Training Fund for Graduate Medical Education
- $6,500 to the George Brown Wellness Fund
Meridian Park
- $10,000 to Oregon Food Bank
- $4,000 to the George Brown Wellness Fund
Mount Hood
- $3,000 to the Legacy Wellness Committee
- $2,500 to the George Brown Wellness Fund
Good Samaritan
- $10,000 to the Legacy Resident Intern Training Fund for Graduate Medical Education
