Grand Rounds
Grand Rounds are an ongoing critical supplement for doctors and healthcare providers. They’re instructional sessions meant to improve the knowledge and practice base of medical professionals. Grand Rounds are open to Legacy Health’s entire community of medical professionals. These sessions are a way to keep abreast of the latest medical learning outside a professional’s core practice area.
At Randall’s Children Hospital, the pediatric Grand Rounds lecture series covers cutting-edge research and practical clinical applications for pediatricians and other medical practitioners. They’re usually held in a live webinar format on the first and third Thursdays of every month from noon-1 p.m.
Topics rotate and include:
- Acute care pediatrics and behavioral health
- Pediatric emergency, trauma and nursing
- Maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal medicine
- Pediatric critical care medicine

Continuing Medical Education Through Recorded Lectures
Some Grand Rounds lectures have been recorded and archived online. Healthcare professionals can earn continuing medical education (CME) credits by viewing certain of these archived recordings from the Grand Rounds series. These credits allow medical professionals to deepen the foundation of their medical knowledge and skills and are often used to maintain medical licenses or satisfy credentialing requirements.
Please note: Those interested in claiming CME credits must view past recordings of Grand Rounds lectures no more than a year after the recordings have been posted online. Qualifying videos are posted within the Enduring Materials playlist.
