Our team of skilled physicians (called perinatologists) are board-certified in both maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics-gynecology. They are here for you to answer questions, explain conditions, provide testing and help you and your baby through successful delivery. They also help to identify important risk factors.

For more information, visit the Maternal-Fetal Medicine page. Both Legacy Salmon Creek and Randall Children’s Hospital campuses have a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), to provide immediate care for premature or fragile newborns. At Randall Children’s, we offer a Level 4 NICU, the highest level available.

Services and support

Immediately after delivery, the baby is evaluated by the medical team to determine if extra care or monitoring is needed. These newborns are transferred to Randall Children’s Hospital NICU. We are committed to making this difficult time as supportive as possible.

For more information on services provided for high-risk pregnancies, visit the maternal fetal medicine page

Legacy also offers full pregnancy and childbirth support. For more information, visit our page for patient resources.

Provider and referrals

Ask your provider if a referral to one of our perinatologists or genetic counselors is right for you. Please call us at 503-413-1122 if your provider needs help with making this referral.
