Routine Tissue Processing (H&E)
H&E-Hematoxylin and Eosin stain
The Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) stained slide is the basic diagnostic tool for evaluation of tissue specimens. Special stains and/or immunohistochemistry panels may be ordered by the pathologist when appropriate in order to arrive at a diagnosis. All tissues are examined and diagnosed by a board certified pathologist.
